About Us
Our Story
Our Roots
The Daughters of Charity have been serving Chicago communities most affected by poverty since 1861. In 2001, they established St. Joseph Services to further their commitment to those in need. The goal was to develop an outreach ministry to partner with local parishes and community nonprofits.
Our Transformation
With the help of our partners, St. Joseph Services created After School and Summer Camp programs for youth in the Austin community. Within a few years, youth and adult programs began to take shape in Humboldt Park, offering After School programs and English as a Second Language (ESL), Computer Literacy, and Citizenship classes for adults.
What We Do
Through educational and supportive programs, St. Joseph Services empowers Chicago youth and adult students to move from poverty to self-sufficiency. With over 20 years of successful outreach, St. Joseph Services has become a vital part of the community, breaking the cycle of poverty and helping individuals reach their full potential.
